We're
looking for a new family for Unit Four
We've got a large four-bed family home
for sale, because some old friends are moving on after 22 years at Postlip -
they'll be much missed.
Unit
Four is located on the south west side of Postlip Hall and was built as an
extension to the main Jacobean Hall in the 1840s. It is a spacious family home,
with much character and charm and full of original features (stone mullioned
windows, fireplaces, stone and wood floors), It is one of the largest units in
the Hall and accommodation is arranged over three floors. The ground floor has
two entrances, one to the outside of the Hall and the other leading into the
inner courtyard and fountain.
Ground
Floor
On
the ground floor is a spacious kitchen/dining room, with a large inglenook, a
stone flagged floor, window seat, fitted kitchen and oil central heating boiler.
The kitchen still has the original bread oven for the Hall.
There
is a downstairs hall and cloakroom /utility room with WC and washbasin and
plumbing for a washing machine. The back door with its stained glass windows
leads to a passage with large storage cupboards suitable for storing outdoor and
DIY materials. The stone flagged hallway has plenty of space for coats and an
extensive cupboard under the stairs. A wooden staircase leads up to the first
floor.

burning stove and a beautiful polished oak floor.

bedroom/playroom. It has two large individual mezzanine bed platforms with ample
room beneath for desks/working spaces and a large open space for sofas or extra
beds. There are wooden window seats underneath each window, one with storage
underneath. There are two walk in cupboards leading off this room: one is
currently used as an airing cupboard (previously a shower room) with a window
and an immersion heater and the other is a large cupboard measuring 1.4 x 1.3
metres.
Bathroom
The
bathroom has a panelled bath, low level WC and washbasin and two windows.
The
wooden staircase continues up to the second floor.
